Paneer Dosa Recipe-How to make Paneer Dosa

I had this paneer dosa in a hotel few months back and loved it very much. The dosa was soft with delicious paneer filling inside. They had 2 varieties of paneer dosas, one is this paneer dosa and another is paneer butter masala dosa. Paneer butter masala dosas are crisp dosas with paneer butter masala filling whereas paneer dosas are soft with this paneer sabji filling. Instead of the usual potato filling, try this paneer filling for a change. Today we will learn how to prepare Paneer dosa following this simple recipe.

Oil for making dosa

Paneer Dosa filling recipe

Paneer /Indian Cottage cheese -200 grams
Onion – 2
Green chilli – 2
Ginger – 1/2 inch piece
Coriander leaves finely chopped -2 tbsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste

Preparation

Grate paneer and keep it aside.

Finely chop onion, ginger and green chillies.

Method

Heat oil in a pan, add finely chopped onions, green chillies, ginger and saute until onions turn transparent.

Then add paneer, need salt and coriander leaves. Saute for 2-3 minutes until everything gets blended well and switch off the flame. Now the filling for the dosa is ready.

Since this is a dry filling/sabji, the dosa should not be too thin like masala dosa. It should be thicker than the normal dosa and a little thinner than uthappam.

Now let us see how to make dosa with paneer filling-

Heat a tawa, pour a ladle of dosa batter, spread it in a circular motion.

As it gets cooked, holes start appearing. Drizzle a tsp of oil around the dosa.

Once the sides of the dosa starts to lift up, flip it over to the other side. Let the other side get cooked. After it is cooked, flip again, place 2-3 tbsp of paneer filling and fold the dosa.

Serve hot with sambar or chutney.
