Today we will learn how to make sundal with horse gram or kollu.

Ingredients needed
Horse gram – 1/2 cup
Grated coconut -1/4 cup
Salt needed
For the seasoning
Oil -2 tsp
Mustard seeds -1 tsp
Hing -a pinch
Red chillies -2
Curry leaves -few
Preparation
Wash and soak kollu/horse gram overnight or for 5-6 hours. Pressure cook adding little salt for 3-4 whistles or until soft. Drain the water if any. You can use that water to make kollu rasam.
Method
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add red chillies, hing and curry leaves.
Add cooked horse gram, salt needed and mix well.
Add grated coconut, mix and remove from heat.
