Ingredients needed
Horsegram/Kollu -1/2 cup
Red chillies – 5
Whole black Pepper – 1/2 tbsp
Cumin seeds/Jeera – 1/2 tbsp
Urad dal – 2 tbsp
Tur dal – 2 tbsp
Salt as needed
Method
Dry roast horsegram until you get a nice aroma of roasted dal.
Dry roast both the dals together until it turns light brown. Dry roast pepper, cumin seeds and red chillies together.
After it cools, dry grind everything together with needed salt to a slightly coarse powder.
Serve with hot rice drizzled with a tsp of ghee. You can even have it with idli.
Self Life – Store it in an air tight container at room temperature. Stays good for 2 months.
