Ingredients needed
Cornflour – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Fresh Lemon juice – 3 drops
Ghee – 1/4 cup melted
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
Cashew nuts – 15 (break into 2-3 pieces)
Food Color – 2 drops (any color)
Preparation
Grease a baking tin or stainless steel plate (with high sides) with ghee and keep it ready.
Method
Mix cornflour with 1 cup of water without any lumps. Add food color and mix well.
Mix sugar and water well first. Then switch on the heat. Add lemon juice and boil on medium heat stirring from time to time.
Let the sugar dissolve. When it starts bubbling, switch off the heat. Add the cornflour mixture gradually with one hand and keep stirring with your other hand.
Now switch on the heat/gas stove.
Cook stirring continuously on medium heat. When it starts thickening, add ghee, cardamom powder and cashew nuts.
Cook until the mixture becomes glossy and leaves the sides of the pan.
Pour the halwa into a greased tray and allow it to set.
Once set, cut it into squares and enjoy!!

Kindly read the recipe well before commenting. I have written very clearly under method - "Mix cornflour with 1 cup of water without any lumps"
Your ingredients list does not mention water. Please adjust to add quantity of water.
Read the first sentence under "METHOD". The very first sentence mentions the quantity of water.
How many days it can b stored ? And how?
For a week in the refrigerator.
Is it compulsory to add lemon juice in the mixture?
Yes, to prevent crystallization of sugar.
