Pesto Pasta is so easy to make and tastes great. If you have pesto with you, this can can be made in a jiffy. You can replace penne with any pasta you want. Today we will learn how to make pesto penne pasta following this easy recipe.
Bring plenty of lightly salted water to boil in a pan. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente. (it should be soft but not mushy). You can check it by tasting it.
Reserve 2-3 tbsp of the water and drain the rest of the water.
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, add pesto and warm it a little. (refer recipe for Basil Walnut Pesto)
Add the cooked pasta and 2 tbsp of the reserved pasta water. Mix well so that it is well coated with the pesto.
Top it with cheese and enjoy delicious pesto pasta warm. (you can use any cheese but parmesan is preferable)
