Kande Pohe Recipe
Prep time – under 5 mins
Cook time – under 10 mins
Serves – 1-2
Ingredients needed
Poha /flattened rice/aval -1 cup
Onion -1
Green chilli -1 finely chopped
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Fresh Lemon juice to taste
For seasoning
Oil – 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds/jeera – 1/2 tsp
Roasted peanuts – 2-3 tbsp
Asafoetida/hing – a pinch
Curry leaves – few
For garnishing
Fresh grated coconut
Finely chopped coriander leaves
Preparation
Wash poha in water 2-3 times and drain it in a colander. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes. It will become soft by that time. Fluff it with a fork and keep it aside.
Finely chop onion and green chillies.
Method
Add poha, sprinkle a little water and cook for 2-3 minutes covered.
Note – If preferred, you can add a tsp of sugar. Since I do not like, I did not add.

SG- you can use any poha -white or brown, thick or thin. Thick poha has to be cooked for a little longer time than thin poha .That's all

LOVELY dish. But when we sprinkle water and keep it covered it becomes a bit sticky. But the recipe is too good and very well explained. I read all your recipes and try them which comes out very well.
