I'm glad I stumbled upon your kitchen while surfing a recipe. I never had to search anywhere after. My life is so easy now. Everything I tried turned out tasty. Thank you.
Hello padhu.I made it today and it turned out well.thanks.
Today I cooked tomato rice , it came out good ,but romba karam ,I used 4 tomatoes as u said do I need to add more for two people. Also will it become more tasty if I add ginger garlic paste extra(I used 1 tsp),Reply pls ,Thanks for ur wonderful blog.
You must use 4 juicy big tomatoes. Karam you have to adjust to your taste. When you use store bought chilli powder, you have to use very less. I have used only my homemade sambar powder which is not hot. Yes you can add ginger garlic paste if you like. I do both ways with ginger garlic and without ginger galic .Both taste awesome!! Thank you very much Bala for liking my recipes.
Usually I don't comment on blogs, but your simple yet effective recipe deserves a mention of thanks. I made this today and it come out excellent. Thanks for a great idea – I was wondering what to do with the tomatoes in the refrigerator and for a single guy, this was an easy to cook yet tasty food. Keep up the good work!!
I will definitely try this recipe…Seems to b simple
Hi padhu today I tried this recipe and it came very well. … especially my daughter she liked it very much. ..thanks
Also how much rice to be added to the mixture, as is written 'Add needed Rice'.
That means not all the rice to be added.
You can taste the tomato rice and if you feel you need more rice, you can add. Thought I cook 1 cup of rice for this tomato rice, I will not mix everything. I set aside some rice and add the rest because I like it a little spicy.
Can you Pl.post stepwise pictures for this recipe. As you post always. Thank you.
Hi Padhu. I regularly prepare tomato rice following your recipe. And it has become a fabulous addition to my kitchen. My husband too likes it a lot. I prepare many other recipes from your blog. Most of the time they come out very well. Your contribution is invaluable. As a suggestion Why don't you add microwave and air fryer cooking in your blog. Even as such it is because of you that I have developed an interest in cooking. Thank you very much.
Dear Padhu,
Thanks for sharing this wonderful Tomato Recipe. Although, I am not from Indian background, I really enjoy preparing your dishes. Come out very well and tasty too. Easy to follow. My 3 year old son and my husband really love it. By the way, I love spices… 🙂
Made it . Was delicious. The coriander makes it very flavorful . I grinded all the masala before adding rice using a hand blender . I use your recipes a lot though I haven't commented earlier. Thank you for sharing them.
