It sounds delicious. I have a quaestion many recipes call for urad dal for the seasoning…I have a package waiting to be used, but when you use 1/2 tsp in this way do you just take 1/2 teaspoon from the bag uncooked and toss it in with the seasoning? Thanks.

Hi Padhu… I have a doubt…iam a beginner….the doubt is " salt added in the pressure cooker (while cooking dal in the beginning) is sufficient through out ? Or shud we add salt again while tempering?
Padhu Sankar
You have to salt salt only if it is not enough otherwise not required.
