This is a very simple and easy curry prepared with bottle gourd and lentils. Though I love cooking, I do not like to slog in the kitchen for hours, so many of my recipes are easy to prepare and takes very less time. This lauki channa dal sabji can be prepared in just 20 minutes. We mostly have rotis for dinner, so I always make a variety of sabjis which is evident from the collection of side dish recipes for chapati in this space. This is one of my favorite lauki curry which I learn’t from a friend long time back. As I have added chana dal, it is healthy, filling and protein packed. With whole wheat rotis, it makes a complete meal. Today let us learn how to make lauki chana dal curry (dudhi chana dal curry) following this easy recipe with step wise pictures.

Yes, you can use moong dal but that becomes another recipe and not lauki chana dal sabji.
